WTH? Studios brought the WTH? Music & Film Festival home to Newark — curating a weekend that blended performance, storytelling, and real connection.
Held at the legendary Temple of Hip-Hop, this day spotlighted the city’s creative heartbeat. Performances from TheART1$T, London Hill, Sura Ali, and more — hosted by Jiggy Jones — brought local energy centerstage.
We also launched the WTH? Media Playground, an interactive hub where media outlets, artists, and creators came together to capture interviews, build relationships, and collaborate in real time.
This day was about more than visibility — it was about access, intention, and honoring the creative ecosystem already at work in the city.
Day 2: The Premiere
At CityPlex12 Newark, we premiered What The Hell? Again?! — a film built from the ground up through months of collaboration. The night also featured a curated showcase of films, music videos, and commercials from emerging filmmakers across the country.
This wasn’t just a screening. It was a celebration of process, craft, and community — inviting artists, filmmakers, and guests into something that felt both cinematic and personal.
Throughout the weekend, WTH? Studios helped bring renewed attention to two of Newark’s most vital creative spaces — the Temple of Hip-Hop and CityPlex12 — reinforcing their place in the city’s cultural landscape.
